Nicole Y Ward MAMFT, LMFT, CST is the direct owner of Metropolitan Mental & Sexual Health Services. Nicole has an undergraduate degree from Indiana University, a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, and a Juvenile Sex Offender Counseling Certification from the University of Louisville. 

Nicole is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist- LMFT. She is licensed to practice in Kentucky and Indiana. Nicole is an American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy- AAMFT Clinical Member. She is also an American Association for Marriage and Family Therapist Approved Supervisor and a Kentucky Board Approved Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor. As a supervisor she assists in ensuring a learning environment that is supportive and nurturing while providing therapists and trainees access to the innovations in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy. 

Nicole is a Certified Sex Therapist- CST and a member of the American Association for Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapist- AASECT. As an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist and licensed mental health professionals she is trained to assess, diagnose, and provide in-depth psychotherapy, with people specializing in treating clients with sexual issues and concerns. 

Nicole practices as a Juvenile Sex Offender Counselor- JSOC. These clinical skills may be helpful for the juveniles, family members, and the community to heal following these incidences. There are a variety of treatment modalities to address Juvenile Sex Offenders including cognitive-behavioral therapy, relapse prevention, and multisystemic therapy. These are designed to reduce the risks and harms associated with juveniles at risk of committing sexual offenses. 

As an Advanced Reiki Master, Nicole utilizes an energy healing technique that promotes relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety through above the body energy sequences. As a Reiki practitioner she uses no touch to deliver energy to the body, improving the flow and balance of energy to support healing.

Goals of Gottman Method Couples Therapy are to disarm conflicting verbal communication, increase intimacy, respect, and affection. The Gottman Method attempts to remove barriers that create a feeling of stagnancy, and create a heightened sense of empathy, compassion, and understanding within the couple relationship

Helen Paris Foundation LLC Public Speaking Firm

Nicole and her daughter, Rebecca Ruth are the direct owners of Helen Paris Foundation LLC Public Speaking Firm. As public speakers they are responsible for researching and delivering comprehensive presentations, speaking events, and other messages to people. They speak on a variety of topics. Public speaking is an art form, and they deliver it effectively. 

Jilly Pads is a humanitarian effort led by Jillian, the youngest child of Nicole. Jilly Pads addresses the problem of period poverty. Period poverty is the inadequate access to menstrual hygiene products and education. Jilly Pads address the period poverty in our community by having pads, tampons, underwear, and washing items available for people in need.

Nicole’s social entrepreneur endeavors  are examples of her commitments to holistic health and overall well-being. She is an ally within the LGBTQIA+ community, activist, and advocate. She is intuitive, insightful, compassionate, equitable, inclusive, and intersectional in all spaces. Nicole knows that issues and concerns are not just individual, but systemic.
